<p>PURPOSE:To perform effectie vapor-liquid contact in a tower without column plate and packings by contacting gas to be trated and an absorption liquor so that countercurrent contact zone in the ascending flow path is formed and also parallel contact zone in the descending flow path is formed in an absorption tower of a reverse U-shaped form. CONSTITUTION:In the ascending flow path of the absorption tower 1, a gas to be treated, introduced from the gas feeding port 8, is brought into contact with an absorption liquor in the liquor tank 4, supplied from the upper liquor supplying port 7, to form a countercurrent contact zone between the supplying ports 7 and 8. And, the absorption liquor is dropped into the liquor tank 4 while giving a swirl flow to part of the gas to be treated to further bring gas in bubble state into contact with the absorption liquor in the tank 4. And, the gas not absorbed in the absorption liquor is recycled to the tower 1 through the gas reflux tube 5 floating in a vacant room in the upper part of the tank 4. On the other hand, the gas ascending while contacting with the absorption liquor in the tower 1 goes down aling with part or the whole of the absorption liquor and relux gas through the tower tip to form a paralel contact zone. Then, the vapor-liquid mixed phase flow is separated into treated gas and absorption liquor in the tank 4, and the trated gas is released and the absorption liquor is recycled to the tank 4.</p> |
