Hexa:hydro-benz-(g)-isoquinoline derivs. - useful as antidepressants, analgesics, anti:aggressive(s) and thrombocyte-aggregation inhibitors

Isoquinoline derivs. of formula (I) and their salts are new. In (I) R1 is H, F, Cl, Br or 1-4C alkyl or alkoxy; R2 is H, 1-6C alkyl, 3-6Calckenyl or alkynyl (the multiple bond is not adjacent the ring N), 2-5C hydroxyalkyl (the OH >=2C away from the N), 3-5Calkylcarbonyl-alkyl, 7-10C phenylalkyl (opt. ring substd. by gps. R1); R3 is H, 1-4C alkyl, thienyl or phenyl) (opt. substd. by one or two F, Cl, Br, or 1-4C alkyl, alkoxy or alkylthio. (I) are made e.g. by dehydrating the corresp. 5-hydroxy cpds.. (I) are esp. useful as antidepressants but also have analgesic activity. Those with R3 = H or alkyl are anti-aggression agents and those with R3 = thienyl or opt. substd. phenyl are thrombocyte-aggregation inhibitors.
