The vehicle wheel rim has opposite raised edges to secure the tyre beads. To ensure that tyre will not lose air the rim has pressed grooves (10), into which are placed inserts. These inserts are overlapped by standard tyre rim. The tyre rim cannot enter the groove and hence no air can escape. The insert in the groove can be permanent or detachable.
