Mfr. of models of buildings, vehicles, machines and appliances made as creative leisure-time hobbies or for gain, are put together from components which have been cut by hand, using scissors, shears or knives, from sheets of a material having very low modulus of elasticity and modulus in shear. Polyethylene is suitable. The sheet material may have various colouring and surface structure. The components are cut with the aid of adhesive paper (to be glued to the sheet material) which is printed with the contours of the components to be cut out.
