Double-walled plastics domed skylight - divided into airtight compartments and having beaded flange for easy fixing

Plastics, domed skylight comprises a relatively flat box and has a flat flange moulded on along its entire perimeter. The flange has bead moulded on near its edge. It can be easily and securely installed without recourse to expensive and complicated profiled mountings. The flange also serves to seal the interior of the box which is compartmented by partitions. In its mfr. a prefabricated box is heated before shaping but the compartments are sealed airtight before shaping. Sealing is effected by pressing the flanges of the two superposed halves of the box together. The final shaping into conventional skylight configuration is carried out by application of compressed air, pref. in the central region of the box.
