The present invention relates to new hydantoin vinyl ethers of the formula <IMAGE> in which R1 is hydrogen or an organic radical, R2 is an alkylene group, and R3 and R4 are preferably lower alkyl groups. These compounds are used for the preparation of homopolymers and copolymers, which can be used as thickeners, solubilizing agents, binders, thixotropic agents, complexing agents, stabilizers and so forth. |
