The fastening-element strip made of plastic is formed by a row of interconnected fastening elements (60) which each consist of two elongate side parts (60A, 60B) connected to one another by means of a transverse web (60C). One side part (60A) is designed as a small bar and the other side part (60B) as a head piece. The strip is designed so that it can be introduced as a whole into a stapling machine, in which individual fastening elements can be separated from the strip.
