PURPOSE:To enable a dress to dress a cylindrical grindstone with less processing time and at less wearing rate by conducting dressing in accordance with degree of joining of the grindstone. CONSTITUTION:A dresser main 1, in order to obtain dressing function and to improve rotation conducting rate, forms an inclination angle 2 against a plane (or a flat surface) 6 passing between a dressing point 4, at which the dresser main 2 contacts a grindstone 1, and a shaft core 5 of the grindstone 1 in parallel with the shaft core 5. Further, a rotary shaft 7 of the dresser main 2 contacts the grindstone 1 at a twist angle beta against a plane (or flat surface) 8 passing the dressing point 4 and perpendicularly crossing the shaft core 5 of the grindstone 1. By reducing rotating speed of the grindstone 1 at the time of dressing in accordance with degree of joining (or contact) of the grindstone 1 and by bringing the dresser main 2 in contact with the grindstone 1 at a rotating speed in a range in which grinding capability can not be displayed, the dressing is to be conducted. |
