<p>Light wt., refractory material for insulation boards contains 40-85% (50-75) rice husks ash, 15-60% (25-50) perlite and 0-10% (2-5) mineral wool. After dry mixing, water and a phosphate binder, pref. monoaluminium phosphate, are added. The material is moulded into boards under pressure, then finally dried. The particle size of the perlite is pref. in the range 0-5 mm. and the rice husk ash 0-2 mm. The fibre material is pref. about 25 mm. long with a diameter 1-10 mu. The material is used as the lining of a wide range of industrial furnaces. It is suitable for higher application temps. (>1000 degrees C) and has better insulation properties than previous materials.</p> |
