<p>PURPOSE:To secure the highly efficient transmission of the picture signal by utilizing effectively the difference of the information quantity between the DC component signal and the AC component signal or between the AC component signals of different order numbers of the TV picture signals at both the time and space frequency regions. CONSTITUTION:To encode the TV picture signals in the scanning form of 2<n>:1 line interlace, the direct-alternating conversion is given to the picture signal possessed by nearly the same picture element point between field pictures constituting a sheet of the frame picture. Thus, DC component signal x1 of the TV picture signal is obtained in the form of the 2-dimensional picture signal along with a unit of AC component signal x2. And highly efficient encoding 6 and 7 are given to each of these obtained signals. At the receiver side, the TV picture signal is reproduced in the reverse procedure to the direct-alternating conversion after decoding by the reverse conversion to the high-efficiency encoding.</p> |
