<p>PURPOSE:To make it possible to very easily form the chamfered part of the peripheral edge of a central-expanded shoe, namely, a shoe which slides in contact with a swash plate. CONSTITUTION:To make the slidable shoe 7 which is installed between a ball 6 and a swash plate 5 of a swash plate type compressor, one end face of a shoe body 7a is primarily worked to a spherical surface to carry the ball 6. Then, a flange 7b with a predetermined thickness of t is made on the other end face, which slides in contact with the swash plate 5.
