[Also in Division H3] In an electronic delayed action supply source having an oscillator 10 connected to be energized from a unidirectional input voltage 1, 2, means is provided for delaying the operation of the oscillator by a predetermined time after the input has been applied and a unidirectional output is obtained by rectifying and filtering the output from the oscillator which ceases to oscillate immediately the incoming input voltage ceases. The input to the transistor oscillator 10 is stabilized by Zener diode 6 and charges a four-terminal capacitor 15 via a variable resistor 19 which gives a variable time delay. After a predetermined time the voltage across capacitor 15 is sufficient to cause the transistors 7 and 8 to oscillate. The output from the oscillator feeds part of a tuned winding of a transformer 25 via a transistor 21. Impedance matching between the output of transformer 25 and the output circuit 3, 4 is obtained by emitter follower 27 which feeds the rectifiers 31 and four-terminal capacitor filter 32. When the input at 1, 2 is removed the oscillations cease and the output pulse ends.</p> |
