O-alkyl-O-[5-substituted-pyrimidin(4)yl]-(thiono)(thiol)-phosphoric (phosphonic) acid esters of the formula <IMAGE> in which R and R2 each independently is alkyl, R1 is hydrogen or alkyl, R3 is alkyl, alkoxy, alkylthio or phenyl, and X and Y each independently is oxygen or sulfur, WHICH POSSESS ARTHROPODICIDAL PROPERTIES.
