PURPOSE:To suppress the harmonic oscillation by combining the harmonic oscillation with the twist oscillation to increase the effective length. CONSTITUTION:The tuning fork bar of the oscillator vibrates as shown by the solid line arrows and is then formed into a bow shape. And the oscillation component vartical to the plate surface is caused by the twist oscillation as shown by the dotted line arrow with its increased effective length. The combination 14 between harmonic oscillation 11 and twist oscillation 12 is obtained by varying the resonant frequency of oscillation 12 within + or -20% to the resonant frequency of oscillation 11.
