PURPOSE:To manufacture a support spacer piece for transformers having improved electrical characteristics at good operating efficiency and low cost, by placing plural sets of collars and spacers made of aromatic polyamide paper on top of each other via anti-blocking plates, and by hot-pressing the piles ones impregnated with a specific adhesive auxiliary solution. CONSTITUTION:The collars 3 and spacers 4 to form a support spacer piece are placed on the anti-blocking plate 5, e.g. iron. Another anti-blocking plate 5 is then placed on the collars 3 and spacers 4, and the same operation is repeated to pile them. The piled ones are accommodated in the heating tank 6 collectively, and impregnated with an adhesive auxiliary solution of an inorganic salt in an amine solvent, e.g. solution of lithium chloride in dimethyl-formamide, temporarily, and pressed by the press unit 11 at a pressure of 0.5-10 kg/cm<2> preferably in vacuo, and heated at a given temperature, e.g. 160-250 deg.C, by a heater, e.g. high frequency, induction, or electric heating, to give a support spacer piece. |
