A differential pressure measurement device (1) contains a chamber divided into two measurement chambers by a measurement membrane. The membrane is subjected to pressure on both sides. The pressure is translated into the chambers from outer chambers via sealing membranes which rest against the opposing outer chamber walls in case of overload. The device (1) is relatively simple to manufacture and enables the stiffness of the balance membrane for a given measurement membrane to be defined without difficulty, thus ensuring reliable protection against extraordinarily high differential pressure. The balance membrane bounds the inner chamber and is considerably larger than the measurement membrane.
|
