<p>The shut-off valve for liquids can be made completely of plastics parts and is suitable for corrosive fluids. The cylindrical valve body (11) has an inner liner (12) inside which slides the cylindrical valve member (17). This has a head (22) at the bottom with gaps (23) above it, through which the liquid can enter sideways, then travel through the centre (19). The valve is closed by moving the valve member (17) upwards until the head is in its upper closure position. This action is caused by pushing knobs (15) attached to the valve member upwards. The knobs are on spindles projecting from the valve member which are guided by helical slots (14) through the valve body.</p> |
