A vehicle seat with a backrest wherein the backrest comprises a manually rotatable eccentric shaft (64) having an eccentric portion and a concentric portion, a first member (54) with a ring gear rotatably supported on the eccentric portion, a second member (58) with a spur pinion having less teeth than and meshing with the ring gear supported on the concentric portion and fixed to a frame of the backrest, and a mechanism (28) responsive to angular movement of the first member for moving that portion of a resilient cushion assembly of the backrest which is disposed adjacent the sacro-lumber region of a seat occupant. <IMAGE> |
