<p>The bands are used for a variety of purposes, and are of the type which normally have the decorative border along both edge zones woven in or applied by screen printing. They are produced with an improved and more attractive appearance. The borders are mfd. separately by warp knitting, lace-working, braiding, crocheting, Jacquard weaving, etc. an are fastened on the bands. The bands may be given a more or other finish. The borders may be attached on both surfaces of the band by means of adhesives of the contact or heat-activated types, by clips or be sewing, esp. by means of two four-needle machines offset and one behind the other.</p> |
