The process is for utilisation of solar energy, in rear ventilated external wall faces, comprising curtain-hung facing panels in horizontal and vertical rows, pref. leaving gaps at the top and bottom edge to provide a space for free passage of air. Rear ventilation is automatically or selectively interrupted when energy supply to the wall is to be effected from outside. This can involve temp. activated valve fittings for complete or partial sealing of the rear ventilation space (12). There are thermo-sensors and pneumatic or hydraulic piston-and-cylinder type setting devices (7) for the valves, mounted on the facing panels (4). Valves may be swivelling flaps.
