PURPOSE:To make character input high-speed by making it possible to input data according to each of five fingers in a character input device where a LED is lit from the lower part of a charactr board having holes and the input to a light pen light receiving part is performed. CONSTITUTION:Character board 9 consists of plural character blocks 10, and a part corresponding to one character at the center of block 10 is a hole. A LED and a photo transistor 6 are provided under the hole. The light of LED 5 is reflected on a reflection mirror at the tip of finger stalls 2 fitted to five fingers through this hole, and received by photo transistor 6. Characters in block 10 are classified by using interkey 15 consisting of character selection keys 16 which have the same form as the character arrangement in block 10. As a result, character selection key 16 is depressed by one hand while touching block 10 with the other hand where finger stalls 2 are fitted, thereby inputting characters. |
