PURPOSE:To enable to make stable for the erase of gas discharge pulse, by applying erase block pulse and applying the fine width erase pulse succeeding to the inversion pulse only to the selection region, to perform erase. CONSTITUTION:The gas discharge panel opposingly arranging a plurality of X and Y electrode coated respectively with dielectric layer via the discharge gas seal space, and the sustain drivers SUX1...8 and SUY1...8 to feed to sustain pulse alternately to the X and Y electrodes, are provided. Then, inversion pulse is fed with driving of the switching element corresponding to the electrode belonging to the selection region of either one side, and the inversion block pulse which makes ineffective the inversion pulse is fed. The fine width erase pulse is fed with the drive of switching element and erase is made by applying the fine width erase pulse only to the selection region suceeding to the inversion pulse. Thus, the erase of gas discharge panel can be made stably. |
