The clamp, for cables and wires, is U-shaped (1) and made of plastics material and its legs pass through holes in a circuit board (3). The wires (2) which are soldered to copper conductors on the board are pressed against the board by the spine of the U. The ends of the legs have hooks that engage the underside of the board. The hooks are coated in copper and soldered to copper pads on the underside of the board.
