The solar energy collector has moving mirror and collector vessel for solar energy conversion into heat. High thermal efficiency is ensured by evaporation and thermal expansion of a liquid heated by solar energy. The temp. volume and pressure of the liquid within limited space are increased by solar energy absorption. As a result a quantity of water is lifted into a vessel at higher levels. The liquid is subsequently cooled and returned into its initial condition. The water is allowed to fall and drives a turbine connected to a generator. The solar energy absorbing liquid is held in the narrow space (10) between the external spherical vessel (7) and internal spherical vessels (8). In this space is also held water (11).
