Papier-mache matrix for structuring concrete surfaces - is made in polyethylene mould with perforations for drainage of water

Matrix used for superficial structuring concrete (where exposed to view), flagstones for (garden) paths or terrasses is made of suitably negatively structured, compressed, papier-mache. The structuring of the matrix is achieved by casting papier-mache slurry into a structured polyethylene mould which is perforated to allow water to escape when the charge is press-moulded. In use, the resulting matrix is lined with a paraffin-type separating agent to prevent the concrete from adhering to it.
