摘要 <p>Poly iodides (I) of the formula Tl5I5M2n+/n (I4)2- are new cpds. (in which n = 1, 2, 3, or 4. If n = 1, M is Ag or Au. If n = 2, M is Eu, Fe, Co or Ni. If n = 3, M is Bi, Sm, Pr, La, Gd, Yb, Fe, Cr or Nd. If n = 4, M is Ti, Zr, Hf, Th or U). (I) are specified for use for the prodn. of solid electrolytes and electrodes for galvanic cells. The skeleton of TI6I6 elements allows one-dimensional linear incorporation of a large no. of ions in the iodide channels parallel to the C-axis, with great tolerance w.r.t. valency and size. Because of this, monocrystals and crystallographically oriented polycrystals have anisotropic one-dimensional properties, the ions being partic. easily mobile in the channels.</p>
