PURPOSE:To prevent the failure of breaker at the time of no-load by the procedure in which commutating circuit is made up of a series unit consisting of condenser, complementary thyristor, and diode, and another condenser discharge circuit which does not pass through load circuit is formed at the time of complementary thyristor ignition. CONSTITUTION:The main thyristor 3 is connected to the positive pole side of the DC power sources 16, the commutating circuit 20 is connected in series in the order of the reactor 4- the complementary thyristor 5- the condenser 3- the diode 20 from the side of the DC power source 16, and the point 22 where the condenser 3 and the complementary thyristor 5 are on the side of power source and the diode 20 is on the side of load is connected through the impedance 24 to the point 23 on the side of negative pole which stands opposite to the pole side to which the main thyristor 3 is connected. |
