PURPOSE:To provide a garbage treating apparatus, in which a dehydrating spinner is disposed around a crushing means, and current supply to the motor for driving said dehydrating spinner and rotor blades is controlled by means of timer, such that intrusion of water from the spinner to the inside of dust box can be prevented. CONSTITUTION:When motor 10 is started after setting of timer 26, turning plate 12 is turned instantaneously by a projection formed on the cam surface of timer 26 while the timer is turned clockwise. Therefore, if water is reserved in body 3 together with garbage at water outlet 9, matters filled in spaces T formed between adjacent rotor blades canbe removed by the above instantaneous rotation of the plate 12, and water is forcedly sent to dehydrating spinner 14 through the spaces T. In the meanwhile, operation of motor 10 is stopped by the time when motor contact is closed by the cam surface of timer 26. With such an arrangement, it is prevented that water is discharged from garbage outlet 21 into dust box 22, due to overloading of garbage and water in the spinner 14 beyond the capacity thereof. |
