MINIATURE ANIMAL WATERING VALVE

This invention discloses a miniature animal watering valve for very small animals such as tiny weanlinq mice. The valve comprises an elongated housing with an interior cylindrical passage and a cylindrical valve seal member. A valve lever member including with a valve head member and a lever arm is formed with a spring retainer cavity and a spring is inserted in the housing to center the valve lever member. Deflection of the valve arm causes the valve head member to pivot and partially lift off the valve seat. The lever arm is returned to the center position by the spring when the animal lets go of the lever thereby automatically preventing further water flow. The present device provides an improved automatic device over the prior art by reducing the clogging problem while maintaining adequate water pressure.
