METHOD OF FORMING BATHTUB MADE OF PATERRNED FIBERGLASS REINFORCED PLASTICS

PURPOSE:In the manufacture of bathtubes made of patterned FRP by hand lay-up method patterned nonwoven fabrics of synthetic fiber is used instead of glass cloth to produce stabilized-quality and inexpensive bathtubes in high productivity. CONSTITUTION:Nonwoven fabrics containing more than 60% of polyester or acrylic fibers whose thickness is less than 3 denier and no binder or a binder soluble in styrene monomer as polyvinyl acetate emulsion and having a density of 20-50 g/m<2> are directly printed or transferred with grain patterns using a gravure printer or transferring printer. Said bathtubes of patterned FRP is formed using the resulting patterned nonwoven fabrics by hand lay-up method.
