<p>PURPOSE:To settle the delay in restoration and difficulty making the inspection of electric lines whenever necessary and quickly, by running an unmanned monitoring car furnishing with observation and recording means onto the track along the electric line. CONSTITUTION:An unmanned monitoring car 13 takes pictures of electric lines 5 with a video camera 54 in travelling and records the disconnection of lines and the spots of contact with or close to trees to the magnetic tape. An infrared camera 55 records transformers in overheated condition and abnormal spots detected by temperature. An ultrasonic receiver 56 detects the abnormality of line equipment, insulators and ultrasonic noise generated there, catches the insulation deterioration or discharge from damaged spots with an antenna (not shown in the figure) and records them to magnetic disks respectively. These observation records are transmitted from a repeating unit 21, etc., to a telecommunication terminal (not shown in the figure). Consequently, when the electric line 5 condition is grasped by running the unmanned monitoring car 13 whenever necessary, a line fault can be prevented and preliminary information can be collected in case of a fault prior to the arrival of workmen to the spot.</p> |
