The slab for a roof substructure has an insulating layer (2) and a cover layer (3) which is fixedly adhesively bonded to said insulating layer and is harder than the same. At a longitudinal side and a narrow side, the cover layer projects beyond the insulating layer (2). The insulating layer (2) is rebated at all end sides such that it can engage in a positively locking manner into the rebates in neighbouring slabs, for a roof substructure, which are designed in the same way. <IMAGE>
