The plant produces pressed bricks from a mixture of subsoil and cement, and comprises a framed substructure with an hydraulic machine on two anterior posts (1). The machine has an electric motor (11) and an upper press matrix over an extractor unit, the latter two components being driven hydraulically. Central and auxiliary control boxes are mounted on one post. Cantilevered framing supports a table (16) which receives pressed bricks and inclined bars locate a basal container (18) and a gauging mechanism is mounted to the rear below a loading funnel. The gauging mechanism may be of a horizontally reciprocating type driven by a piston, with the funnel receiving material from an overhead mixer fed by an elevator skip.
