The equipment has an air pressure chamber to which an outlet nozzle of reduced section is connected, while apart from the chamber is a fluid vessel into which a pipe extends, its end being below liquid level and its other end near the nozzle. An adjusting valve in a pipe between the chamber and the air space above the liquid divides the air current into a portion acting on the liquid surface and one discharging to the outside. The chamber (12) and the vessel are separate components, the pipe (52) between them being exposed to the atmosphere. The adjusting valve is formed by a port (58) in the pipe wall, enclosed by a slotted tubular sleeve (62), by which it is set.
