<p>Printed sail cloth is composed of synthetic raw textile which is dressed with a synthetic resin after it has been woven. The cloth is printed upon before the finishing step. The dressing covers at least part of the surface of the cloth. The print is under the resinous dressing. Process is esp. for mfr. of multi-coloured or decoratively printed (as distinct from plain-coloured) sail cloth. Since the print or decoration lies under the dressing, risk of it rubbing-off or peeling-off is minimised.</p> |
