Safety interlock for ignition lock - operates with centrally mounted spring and cam link to locking bolt

The ignition lock has its barrel (3) pressed axially by a spring (23) at one end. It is linked to the steering lock bolt (27) by a sloping groove (24) in the bolt. The actual spring ensures a direct operation of the lock and barrel and there is a safety interlock system which holds the groove until the key is fully withdrawn. The lock system has a cylindrical casing (2) and the barrel (3) can rotate and move axially. There is a leaf spring (4) engaging with a groove in the barrel is fitted with a band with a spring (22) pressing it. There is a control roller and eccentric.
