The steel reinforced concrete blocks forming a tunnel lining can include special blocks with sloping edges so as to conform with bends or other altered alignment of the tunnel. These blocks may be plain or may have openings (12) through them. At the abutting faces, each block has a hole for injecting a hardening solution, so that there are two holes at each joint, one each side and at opposite ends. There are also tapped holes (18) through each end of the block so that the blocks of one ring can be attached to blocks of the next ring.
