The high pressure pipe is for the connection of a pressure medium supply source to utilisation points, and has particular application in pressure jets for loosening coal in mining. It comprises releasably conected pipes, with muffs welded on to their ends. The muffs welded on to their ends. The muffs are connected to each other by nipples and U-shaped coupling clamps. The muffs (5) have on the pipe side an insert end (10, 11) which ends on the muff side at a joint (13) from which the muf bevel (14) projects and is connected to the corresponding pipe (3). The insert end (10, 11) is cylindrical and the surface of the joint (13) runs radially.
