The pipe divider is built into the device for protecting drinking water ducts from backflowing waste water, and comprises pressure-controlled piston divider pipe in a cylinder working against spring action. The pipe divider is preceded by a pressure control valve activated firstly by water inflow pressure and secondly by a compression spring with a spring-loaded control piston. When pressure is too low, water flow to the divider is interrupted, and a load-release duct is opened. The latter is cosed and water supply restored when the set pressure is exceeded.
