Compds. I(R = NH-NH2, R1 = H, acetyl, R2 = H, C1-C3 alkyl formyl, C1-3 alkanoyl, R3, R4 = hydroxyl or ethyl) were treated with nitrosating agent to give azides (R = N2) which were converted to I'(R = amino etc. R1 = H, C1-C3 alkanoyl etc.) by reacting with ammonia or amine, and I''(R = amino, R' = H, acetyl) or their salts by hydrogenolysis with Raney Nickel in inactive solvent. The title compds. (I' or I'') have an antitumor action.
