The hydraulic system gives load-compensated control of one or more consumer units with a valve forming an adjustable throttle in the return pipe from unit to tank. The pressur difference across it acts on a pressure balancer likewise in the return pipe. A source of fluid under pressure is included together with means for regulation of pump pressure dependent on load pressure. The pump has a hydraulic adjusting mechanism connected to one union of a pilot valve whose other union discharges to the tank. A further union on this valve is connected by a throttle to the pressure side of the pump by a pressure limitation valve to the tank and via a control pipe to the return union from the consumer unit downstream of the throttle.
