In the front panel (5) and rear panel of the heating boiler casing, there are arranged through-openings (6), the edges of which are welded to cylindrical inserts (2) which pass all the way through. The through-opening (6) is provided with a neck-like opening cone (1) and the outside diameter of the insert in the connection region is equal to the smallest inside diameter (4) of the opening cone (1). This means that account is taken of unavoidable deviations in shape and there is no need for preliminary fastening, so that mechanical/automatic welding can be carried out as soon as the parts have been fitted together.
