The protection consists of a ring made of several elements fixed to the end of the oven (10). These are hollow and cooled by air circulation, including inside them. Each ring has a support fixed on the oven and in it are air passages. There is also a wear piece covering the inside and support. The supports have an internal border in plan view, and fixed to the inside of the oven collar. Their outsides press on another concentric collar, fixed to that on the oven. The wear pieces have grooves or openings.
