The recorder has a main chassis on which is mounted a pair of tape spool capstans and tape drive spindles, together with magnetic heads, and contact rollers. Within the cassette chassis frame is the cassette holder with a pivoted plate and a cassette loading stage. The outwards motion of the plate is limited by a stop. The loading unit has an opening through which the cassette is inserted and the pivoted plate is moved to provide location on the capstans. The ejector mechanism is coupled via a coil spring to a linkage. The ejector is actuated by the rotation of a rotor assembly coupled to the motor when the ejection selector is actuated.
