PURPOSE:To perform the microprogram operation by using the substitute region of the dialog microprogram in case some fault takes place under execution of the routine work. CONSTITUTION:When some fault takes place at the address in control memory unit CS, CS checking circuit CSCHK corrects the contents of CS read register CSRDREG through CS read correction circuit RDCORR in case the error of the CS read data can be corrected. Thus, the routine work is continued. If CSCHK decides the correction is impossible, CSCHK informs so to the higher rank units to discontinue the work temporarily. Then CSCHK informs the CS defective address to address control circit ADRCONT as well as to auxiliary memory control circuit EXTMEMCONT through control bus 1 and 2. The EXTMEMCONT reads out the microprogram of the defective address from auxiliary memory unit EXTMEM and stores it in the dialog microprogram region. |
