PURPOSE:To make it possiblw to obtain stably azimuth detection data not through misdetection by judging gradient values of the rise and fall of amplitude data on an azimuth-angle unit. CONSTITUTION:The maxium amplitude data of an input video signal obtained by multistage fixed slicer 11 are stored 12 on an azimuth-angle unit and coded 13, the previous code value on the azimuth-angle unit is subtracted 14 and stored in shift memory 15, and several past amplitude variable data on the azimuth-angle unit are stored according to azimuth angle. As for the output of memory 15, circuit 16 finds its rise gradient value and circuit 19 its fall gradient value; and the adequacy for each set value is judged 17 and 20 and the obtained values when adequate are stored 18 and 21. Then, the set beam width is judged 22 from each memory value and when the decison result can be acceptable, the arithmetic mean between azimuths at the time of a rise and fall is calculated 23, so that azimuth detection data can be obtained. |
