s-Triazinderivate, die als Substituenten in 2-, 4- und 6-Stellung mindestens einen Polyalkylpiperidinrest und mindestens eine N-Methylolaminogruppe oder deren Äther tragen, sind wirkungsvolle Stabilisatoren für Kunststoffe, vor allem gegen Lichtabbau. Sie vermögen auf Grund ihrer N-Methylolgruppe mit vielen Kunststoffen eine chemische Bindung einzugehen, was sie gegen Migration und Elution beständig macht.
