Roof component for a slanting roof which is to be covered with tiles comprises a base plate (1), a clamping or triplex plate on which a sheet of insulating material such as plastic foam (2) is placed, which is limited by parallel laths (3) fixed on the base plate. The laths have grooves (4) in which opposite edges of the layer of insulating material are clamped. The base plate (1) and the insulating layer (2) are exclusively attached to each other by the laths (3), without any usage of an adhesive being necessary.
