HEAT TRANSFER MEASURING DEVICE

A device is provided for measuring the efficiency of a heat exchanger. The device comprises a plurality of temperature sensors, a plurality of difference means and calculations means. The difference means are each responsive to a different pair of the temperature sensors to provide a signal representative of the temperature difference between the location of the sensors. The calculation means is responsive to the signals from the difference means for generating a signal representative of the efficiency of the heat exchanger. The signal is representative of either the heat transfer co-effecient or the fouling factor in a heat exchanger.
