PURPOSE:To make possible paper feeding avoiding the seams of photoreceptors and transfer belts without increasing the accuracy of machining by controlling the start timing of sheet feeding by the position signals controlling the start positions of the photoreceptors, transfer betls, etc. CONSTITUTION:When the sensors installed in positions P16, P4 detect the home positions of the seams of a transfer belt 23 and a photosensitive drum 2 upon ending of initial cleaning, a belt 31 and photosensitive drums 1 thru 3 are stopped in the specified start positions by a central processing unit. Next, when the belt 32 and drums 1 thru 3 rotate upon starting of copying, the belt 32 moves for a required quantity from the start position according to the position signal of the sensor installed in the position P4 and the paper feed command from cassettes 23 thru 25 according to the assigned and selected cassettes 23 thru 25, then paper feeding is started by the command from the central processing unit. Hence, good images by paper feeding avoiding the seams of the photoreceptors and transfer belts may be formed without increasing machining accuracy. |
